This function can be used to update your GEOTEK Phonebook server software to a newer version. Your current configuration settings will be correctly merged, that is, all previous settings are retained and new entries and possible extended comments are added to the configuration file.
Specify the location of the packed program ZIP file and press Software Update to install the new program on the Asterisk server. As GEOTEK Phonebook is a 100% pure web application, nothing needs to be changed at the client side.
After each update we recommend to read through the new confguration file in Configuration menu in order to enable new features, that otherwise may slip unnoticed.
Note: It should be possible to revert to an older version of GEOTEK Phonebook as well. Bear in mind, however, that this upgrade feature was added in Version 2.1, so if you downgrade to a version before 2.1 your will loose the ability to update the phone book software from the Tools menu!
